CANCELLATION POLICY

We understand that plans can change, so here’s how to manage your booking:

• Changing or cancelling

You can amend or cancel your booking online using the booking link in your confirmation email.

• Refunds

• Cancel at least 48 hours before your session to receive a full refund (minus a 5% administration fee).

• If you cancel within 48 hours, we’re generally unable to offer a refund or reschedule as it doesn’t allow enough time to fill your spot.

• Rescheduling

• If you cancel with more than 48 hours’ notice, we can either refund you or reschedule your session.

• With less than 48 hours’ notice, rescheduling is only possible, if we are able to fill your space.

• Passing on your booking

If you can’t attend, you’re welcome to transfer your booking to a friend. Just email us at saunaatthekings@gmail.com with their name, and we’ll update the booking. Please note they’ll need to sign a waiver on arrival.

• Winter Weather

If there is a YELLOW or RED weather warning from MET office and you do not wish you drive to your appointment, I can offer to reschedule your appointment, please email in these instances.

If I CLOSE the sauna due to Weather warnings or Storms I will automatically reschedule your appointment, which you will then able to access via the booking link, and you can then reschedule it yourself to suit you. Please email us at saunaatthekings@gmail.com  if you would prefer a refund.

Thank you for your understanding — this policy helps us keep sessions running smoothly for everyone..

Terms and Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS (Waiver)

General Use

• All persons using the sauna do so at their own risk.

• Age restrictions: 16+ only.

• Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

• If you have any reservations about using the sauna (e.g. medical conditions, underlying health issues, use of prescription drugs, or pregnancy), you must consult your GP before booking.

Medical Guidance

• Prescription medication: Some medications (e.g. diuretics, barbiturates, beta-blockers) may impair heat regulation. Over-the-counter drugs, such as antihistamines, may increase the risk of heat stroke. Seek advice from your GP or pharmacist before use.

• Pregnancy: Pregnant women should consult their GP before using the sauna.

• Cardiovascular conditions: Those with hypertension, hypotension, coronary circulation issues, congestive heart failure, or on blood pressure medication should exercise extreme caution. If you have a pacemaker or defibrillator, please consult your GP.

• Heart and arterial conditions: If you’ve had a heart attack within the last 6 months, or suffer from severe arterial disease, please seek medical advice before using the sauna.

• Joint injuries: Recent joint injuries should not be heated for the first 48 hours. Chronically hot/swollen joints may respond poorly to heating.

• Implants: Metal pins, rods, artificial joints, and implants are not usually affected by sauna heat, but discontinue use immediately if you feel pain near an implant.

• Heat sensitivity: Individuals with reduced sensitivity to heat must seek medical advice before use.

Personal Belongings

• Personal items left outside the sauna are left at your own risk.

• We accept no responsibility for lost or stolen items.

• Dry bags and buckets are provided for clothes, but we recommend leaving valuables at home.

• Sauna at the Kings takes no responsibility for damage or loss of customers’ property.

Sea Use

• Using the sea at Cullen as a “cold plunge” is entirely at your own risk.

• You are responsible for ensuring you are a capable swimmer and can handle cold-water exposure and natural water hazards.

• Please note: your booking is for the sauna only, not the sea.

Group Bookings

• If booking on behalf of a group, it is your responsibility to ensure all participants are aware of these terms and conditions and practice safe sauna use.

Safety & Conduct

• We reserve the right to refuse admission to anyone intoxicated or considered a health and safety risk.

• Remove shoes/sandals/flip-flops before entering — barefoot entry only.

• Always use the stairs/ramp safely.

• Keep access points clear for safe and quick exits.

• Remove all metal/jewellery before entering to avoid burns.

• Sit on a clean towel inside the sauna.

• Recommended sauna time: 5–15 minutes per round. Always listen to your body and cool off outside between sessions.

• Do not touch the stove or rocks — your sauna host will manage these. If you’d like steam, please ask.

• Alcohol, nudity, and smoking are not permitted inside the sauna.

• Only the sauna host is permitted to tend the stove or add water to the rocks.

• Sauna staff will conduct regular welfare checks for safety.

Emergencies

• All sauna staff are First Aid trained, with a first aid kit and burns treatment on site.

• In an emergency, if staff are not immediately visible:

• Pull the rape alarm attached to the fire blanket in the sauna porch, or

• Call the Sauna at the Kings phone number (clearly displayed on site).

• A staff member will always be nearby.

• Muster point in emergencies: by the green shed.
